Canoe hire is available at Outney Meadow Caravan Park for both campers and day visitors.
This peaceful activity lends itself to being immersed in nature. Swans, herons and kingfishers can be spotted, and in the summer dragonflies, butterflies and the occasional otter may be sighted.
Canoes have the advantage of being totally silent, allowing you to get closer to wildlife whilst enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Waveney Valley, and can be enjoyed by any age.
We offer two, three and four-seater canoes. Prices for a Canadian canoe range from £35.00 to £40 dependent on party size. Currently we offer a half-day hire (3 hour duration, either morning or afternoon). Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.
Children accompanied by an adult are welcome, and adults are responsible for adhering to safety rules for young canoers. Safety on the water is very important so please adhere to the safety rules.

This guide is aimed at giving you an enjoyable day paddling a canoe along the river Waveney around the Bungay Loop from the Outney Meadow Caravan Park upstream to the road bridge. The trip takes about 3 hours paddling time.
